In 2007 the Great Britain Baseball Team won the silver medal at the European Championships in Barcelona.  In 2009, when GB appeared at the World Baseball Cup for the first time in decades, the squad showed skill and determination on the diamond against the globe’s top international baseball nations.  In July, Britain will return to the European Championships – held in Stuttgart, Germany – to defend its second-in-Europe status and its 21st-in-the-world ranking.  If successful, the squad will be well placed to receive an invitation to the 2013 World Baseball Classic staged by Major League Baseball.

GB Baseball has achieved all this despite being one of the few national baseball programmes to receive no government funding whatsoever.

In order to succeed in our competitions, the GB Senior Baseball Team must raise funds to pay for tournament entry fees, transport, lodging, pre-tournament practice and preparation, equipment and uniforms.

Absolutely every donation is important in contributing to the team’s success on the field.  Help us to achieve great things… please give generously so that Great Britain Baseball can reclaim as its own the game invented here more than 120 years ago.  There are exciting things in store for GB Baseball and the growth of the sport here in the UK, but we need your help.
