Team GB has released the final (24-man) roster for the upcoming European Championships in Stuttgart, Germany. The competition runs from 23 July to 1 August, and Britain will play the first game of the event at 10:30am on the 23rd versus the Croatian National Team.

40-man roster announced for upcoming Euros
The Great Britain National Baseball Teams have announced their rosters for the upcoming summer competitions on the continent. With only weeks to go before the teams depart to face their European rivals, players are working hard to get their bodies and minds in shape and geared up for success. For the GB Senior Team, there’s more at stake than just a regional placing; the road to the MLB World Baseball Classic may very well run through Stuttgart.
GB Juniors: European Qualifiers Roster
The Great Britain Junior National Team faces a huge challenge when they compete at the CEB European Junior Qualifier in Attnang-Puchheim, Austria, from August 2 – 8. The winners of the tournament will qualify for the Championship in 2011; the GB Juniors last competed at the top level in 2006 having won the qualifier in Belgium in 2005.
GB Cadets: European Qualifiers Roster
The Great Britain Cadet National Team is currently preparing for the CEB European Cadet Qualifier in Nykoping, Sweden from July 19 – 24. Great Britain will face strong opposition from the tournament hosts, Sweden, as well as Lithuania, Slovakia and Ukraine with the winners qualifying for the European Championship in 2011. Great Britain lost to Ukraine in the final of the 2008 Cadet Qualifier.
Chris Berset selected by Reds in MLB draft
Chris Berset – starting GB catcher at the 2009 Baseball World Cup – has been drafted by the Cincinnati Reds in the 20th round of the MLB draft. Berset is a graduating senior at the University of Michigan, and was second-team All Big Ten in 2010.
